Jerez to Qatar : 2019 Testing

It has been a busy few weeks since my last blog. We came back from Spain and I was soon back out there for the Jerez test. We had two days on track with the official KTM testing, followed by three days of the official IRTA test, we had plenty of track time and with this we managed to make a lot of progress with both myself and the bike.

We tried many different things with the set up of the bike and once again valuable time working with my team. We came away with a lot of positives, we had a few new parts to try and I felt like it was a step in the right direction, overall we learnt so much.

Tomorrow I head to Qatar from the official Moto 2 test this Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this week, round one will follow the weekend after. I am so excited to ride here especially under the lights, there will of course be a lot to learn with the track and also with myself and the bike at this circuit but with the three day test I feel confident we will make good progress ready for the very first race of the season.

I will of course keep you all updated after the test days and let you know how we are getting on, but for now it is time to get ready and head Qatar for the very first time, I can’t wait.

2019 Moto 2 Season… It’s almost here

….And just like that the 2019 Moto 2 season is just around the corner. It is hard to believe that the my final round of BSB championship is almost 4 months ago…I am going to miss my 2018 team, but it’s all cool because I have made friends for a lifetime, we together did some pretty amazing things on the RAF Kawasaki as a privateer team and finishing the 2018 season second in the BSB Championship is something to all be so proud of, memories made to reflect on and smile forever, thanks for the great times Lee Hardy and Team.

After an incredible honeymoon experiencing safari in Kenya we had a great Christmas, but for me all sights were set on the 2019 season. Lucky enough we got to come over to Spain and spend time with my new Team, Angel Nieto, I have been out riding and training everyday in preparation for the up and coming season.

First stop is a test next week at Valencia with the team. It will be my first time out on my Moto 2 bike this year and I can’t wait to get back to work, this is exactly where the hard work over these months comes in and exactly why I give it all 100%.
