2019 Testing Underway #96CREW

Hey Everyone, It’s Friday 8/02/19 and it is the day after our two day test at Valencia. It was the first run out on the bike since our last test in Jerez which was at the end of 2018, so we had lots of work to get through.

We got heaps of work done, we tried so much and changed a lot of things to understand the direction we need to go in, the feeling is improving, my riding style is adapting and I do feel that there is more to come in both the bike and myself, we have another five days in testing Jerez so I will be able to work more on that. As the bike changes and I get more comfortable with the feeling, my riding style changes also, putting my body in a better position on the bike.

What am I taking away from this first Test…..

I am growing a greater understanding with the feeling of the bike, it is great to have time with the team also understanding how we all work together which is fantastic. I keep learning each time I ride, and that to me is what this year is about. We have a base setting now to go to Jerez with, and I am feeling ready and excited to get back on my Angel Neito Moto 2 bike again. I leave to come home from Spain and head back to the UK this weekend, I will have 5 days preparing myself before getting ready to leave again for Spain the following weekend.

It is a great feeling to know that the season is now underway with Testing, after Jerez we have a test at Qatar at the beginning of March which will set us up ready going into Round one at that very track, a lot of riding between now and then, just how I like it.

I will of course keep you all updated over the course of the testing at Jerez, but for now I hope you guys have a great weekend and I will be back on my blog with updates soon.

2019 Moto 2 Season… It’s almost here

….And just like that the 2019 Moto 2 season is just around the corner. It is hard to believe that the my final round of BSB championship is almost 4 months ago…I am going to miss my 2018 team, but it’s all cool because I have made friends for a lifetime, we together did some pretty amazing things on the RAF Kawasaki as a privateer team and finishing the 2018 season second in the BSB Championship is something to all be so proud of, memories made to reflect on and smile forever, thanks for the great times Lee Hardy and Team.

After an incredible honeymoon experiencing safari in Kenya we had a great Christmas, but for me all sights were set on the 2019 season. Lucky enough we got to come over to Spain and spend time with my new Team, Angel Nieto, I have been out riding and training everyday in preparation for the up and coming season.

First stop is a test next week at Valencia with the team. It will be my first time out on my Moto 2 bike this year and I can’t wait to get back to work, this is exactly where the hard work over these months comes in and exactly why I give it all 100%.
